4 Tips to Prevent The Spread Of Illness

Below we’ve listed four simple tips that may help prevent the spread of illness during the coming colder months. To understand the differences in symptoms between the common cold and flu and coronavirus, please visit the NSW Government website.

Tip #1

Wash Hands With Soap

Frequently wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

When soap and running water is unavailable, use an alcohol-based hand rub with at least 60% alcohol.

Tip #2

Touch Face

Avoid touching your face.

Tip #3

Blow Nose

When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with a flexed elbow or a tissue.

Throw tissue into a closed bin immediately.

Clean your hands with hand soap and water or with alcohol-based hand sanitiser.

Tip #4

Fever

If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early.

Avoid close contact when you are experiencing cough and fever.

Together we can stay healthy! We know this is a difficult time for everyone, so we urge you to stay safe, look after yourself and each other.
